Exhibit and conference : February 10 to March 10, 2025
Two plankton workshops for young audiences, organized in collaboration with the Research & Rescue Center Yas SeaWorld, on February 13 and 14, 2025

Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Christian Sardet, Noé Sardet, and Les Macronautes, presents Ocean of Plankton, the first exhibition of the Year of the Oceans. Installed in the university’s impressive atrium, the exhibition creates a dialogue between art and science, revealing the fascinating diversity of the microscopic marine world.

At the opening event on February 12th, Christian and Noé Sardet shared their experience through a conference that blends science, art, and exploration, while delivering a powerful message on the urgent need to protect our oceans.

Through large-scale photographic prints, visitors discover the beauty of marine ecosystems and plankton—organisms at the very foundation of ocean life. The exhibition highlights the essential role of plankton in maintaining the ecological balance of our planet and invites reflection on the preservation of the oceans.

The photographers and filmmakers who contributed to the exhibition include Sharif Mirshak, Valentin Proult, and Richard Mardens.
