{"id":48131,"date":"2014-01-30T23:26:19","date_gmt":"2014-01-30T22:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/planktonchronicles.org\/en\/?p=48131"},"modified":"2023-05-30T14:47:35","modified_gmt":"2023-05-30T12:47:35","slug":"tara-oceans-tara-med-expeditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/planktonchronicles.org\/en\/tara-oceans-tara-med-expeditions\/","title":{"rendered":"Tara Oceans &#038; Tara Med EXPEDITIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Plankton Chronicles project was born from a desire to popularize plankton and the <a href=\"http:\/\/oceans.taraexpeditions.org\/m\/science\/les-actualites\/\" class=\"broken_link\"><strong><em>Tara Oceans<\/em><\/strong> <strong>expedition <\/strong><\/a>\u00a0conceived by Eric Karsenti, Christian Sardet and Gaby Gorsky with twenty scientific coordinators together with Etienne Bourgois and Romain Troubl\u00e9 from the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/oceans.taraexpeditions.org\">Tara Expeditions Foundation<\/a><\/strong>. For 3 years (2009 to 2012) the schooner Tara collected 30,000 plankton samples and environmental data in all oceans. The first global results have been published in five articles in a special issue of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/oceans.taraexpeditions.org\/m\/science\/les-resultats\/\" class=\"broken_link\">Science magazine<\/a><\/strong> in May 2015.
